Lilly Goes to School
3 Comments | Posted by Jenell in Lessons, Lilly, Miscellaneous, News, support
Starting on Monday, Lilly will be attending the Milwaukee Montessori School.
She will be attending half days in the mornings. This will help us out so much- currently one of us watches Lilly and the other is with the girls throughout the day. Coupled with the fact that Kerry is still working remotely on some projects AND he has been sick and unable to see the girls the last 2 days- it has been very dificult.
The school is great, they teach the toddlers art, music, dance- how to button their coats! they have play time outside. What we really like is that they have set routines everyday. The kids really get into a routine- which will be great for Lilly during this very chaotic time.
All of this was made possible unexpectedly, and by someone on the other side of the world ! Lilly’s aunt Holly- who lives in Thailand wanted to help out. Not an easy task from the other side of the world. Turns out this will help us more than if Holly was here standing next to us. It will give Lilly interaction with kids and give us time with the triplets. And to top it off , the school is less than a mile from the hospital.
It’s not easy to get into this school (it is a private school- not a daycare) especially as the summer programming only has 1 month left. Holly arranged the entire thing and she is paying for it too.
THANK YOU SO MUCH HOLLY !

Thanks for the Support.. And another triplets question

There are a lot of multiples and triplets parents reading our blog- Thanks for the support. I’m into so many groups on yahoo and now just found one called the Triplet Connection. You can post messages and read other peoples questions and comment on them. I have received lots of great comments and suggestions from parents of multiples. Thank you to all of you!
Here is my question for today:
How have other triplets’ moms out there handled bottle feeding ?
I have heard some people say they prop their babies up and feed them– this sounds scary ! Whats the best way to feed them and how did you do it?

“Where do triplets come from ?”
2 Comments | Posted by Kerry in Lessons, Miscellaneous, Triplets
Here is some good info I found about how I managed to make triplets. I found it here–>.
There are four ways to conceive triplets:
- Fraternal triplets are created when three eggs are released and each is fertilized by a different sperm.
- Identical triplets are created when only one egg is released and fertilized, but splits, and then one half splits again.
- Mixed triplets – two identical and one fraternal – occur when two eggs are released and fertilized separately, and one of those fertilized eggs splits again.
- Fraternal triplets may occur during IVF fertility treatment. Typically, three or more fertilized eggs are inserted into the uterus to grow. Three to four percent of pregnancies jump-started by infertility drugs lead to triplets.
In order to successfully carry three babies, you need to gain at least fifty pounds over the course of 32 to 33 weeks, the usual gestation period of triplets. You will need to consume two hundred grams of protein daily, plenty of salt, and enough iron, calcium, folic acid, and other nutrients to support all of your needs.

Triplets Video– the spectacle of it all
2 Comments | Posted by Jenell in Lessons, Miscellaneous, Triplets, video
There are some great videos online that help us to prepare for our triplets.
Look at the crowds of people that want to get a peak at this family’s triplets. Who thought “crowd control” would be something we need to consider on future family outings. One concern I have is for the “touchers” – It has always been a peeve of mine- strangers who have to touch every baby they see. Little babies can get sick so easily.
Lesson from this video- Be prepared to be celebrities when out and about- and pack hand sanitizer.
