The triplets room is almost complete. We put a lot of work into it. It’s still a Classic Pooh theme from when Lilly was in there. Kerry put up a large shelf rack and we are in the process of organizing and stocking it.

Lilly’s new room is all done. It’s freshly painted and we moved the bed in and all of her toys.

Kerry and my brother Tony managed to clean out our master bedroom (attached to the bathroom project)last week. Kerry finsihed the wall seperating the bathroom construction area so I have my bedroom back. But I’m avoiding stairs so I will probably stay downstairs. But it’s good to know its livable in there for when the triplets arrive. And it’s so much nicer than before, especially once the bathroom is finished.

Kerry and his dad worked on the bathroom some more this weekend. Thank’s Grandpa ! They ran electrical wire through the walls to the new circuit breaker panel they put in last time. They also put up insallation in our attached garage. They installed the bathroom ceiling fan/light/heater and exhaust too.

Today Kerry is working on patching the hole in the living room ceiling from last weekends accident.

(Kerry Here)

Aside from a very minor issue this morning (see image below) the bathroom remodel is going just SUPER !

My caring wife, in what can only be described as a state of pure panic and concern– managed to take like 15 pictures of the incident… Have a laugh yourself –> See Bathroom Remodel Images

Please comment with ideas for a good alternate title for this post – I was going to use one of the following:

Where’s my shoe ?

Triplet elevator Install day 1

Has anyone seen Kerry ?

You put your left leg in, your left leg out —In out, in out, —you shake it all about You do the Hokey …

Tickle tickle tickle….

Apparently sandals are not good footwear for construction work- My foot slipped off the supporting beam and well– you see the picture.

More about the remodel

For those of you who don’t know- I decided it would be a good idea to convert our 1/2 bathroom into a full master bathroom. In retrospect this was not a good idea for someone with my caliber of carpentry and remodeling skills. The tasks involved:

Demolishing the old bathroom- (all of which was rock hard plaster)

Tearing down a wall and closet, and ceiling and floor

Ripping out the old bathroom fixtures and plumbing

Gutting the old electrical work

Upgrading to a 200 AMP electrical service to accommodate the additional power needed for the new bathroom and new whirlpool tub (Thanks for the help Dad- and nobody was severely electrocuted)

Running the plumbing for the drainage- including breaking and cutting a huge 4 inch cast pipe (Thanks Warren)

Cutting a hole in the existing wall to move the door to

Building a new wall – plastering- painting and trim work-

Whats Left?

I need to fish 3 runs of 12 gauge wire through the wall (the wall behind my foot above)

I need to install outlets- switches , recessed lighting, exhaust fan

Install the whirlpool tub

Install the sink, toilet , vanity and plumbing

Install tile , and floor

Patch the hole in the ceiling
